Incase you missed it

Rush was on Glenn Beck yesterday and it was great...and scary.

How not to get Re-elected

Here's a new one:

Demean your constituents like a high school kid trying to buy beer at 711.

As if that isn't bad enough listen to Howard Dean's response to the eventual question...prepare yourself for something awful.

You're not Helping

Madonna who is a great spokesperson for anything decided she was going to lecture the people of Bucharest on the subject of gypsies. Let the comedy begin:

Here's the thing, Madonna (and all celebrities like her) is a walking spectacle. While people are willing to pay good money to watch this spectacle, they don't want to hear what a spectacle has to say about important issues. They really don't want to be told how to behave by a spectacle who has demonstrated a willingness to behave poorly (read: disgracefully)for the sole purpose of perpetuating their own celebrity...spectacle.

We're being kept afloat by the Netherlands

Or Denmark

We can't tell but check out this graphic of US trade partners. You don't have to be an economics major to see we're in big trouble.

One for the Good Guys

We know it sounds crazy but someone had the audacity to asked our Federal Reserve to provide information regarding what companies were taking bailout money. Of course they refused because knowing which companies were robbing us might cause them to suffer "imminent competitive harm," by stigmatizing them for using Fed lending programs. Is your head exploding yet?
Anyway, the good news is a Federal Judge went crazy for a second and actually sided with the people. Read the whole story here.

You want to fix our health care system?

You can start here.

According to the Miami Herald: Miami-Dade's struggling Jackson Health System has spent $33 million this year alone on caring for undocumented immigrants.

Feed your outrage by reading the entire article here

Of course the Money is Free

After you pay taxes on it.

Those big fat cash for clunker checks Uncle Sam will eventually get around to writing are taxable income...oops!

"They didn't realize that would be taxable. A lot of people don't realize that. So they're not happy and kind of surprised when they find that out," County Treasurer Pam Nelson said.

It's almost poetic.

The man that sells America's IOUs

With so much talk about our national debt, you should meet the guy who's in charge of flushing our future down the toilet. Meet Mr. Van Zeck, the commissioner of public debt...worst job title ever.

This could be bad

The League of American Voters is claiming that ABC is refusing to air this anti Obamacare ad.

The stickers were a hit!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Tea Party on Saturday. Looked like we might get rained out but mother nature was on our side and apparently so is the Hulkster.

The commercialization of this movement is a little disheartening but it was still great to witness so many people expressing themselves. It truly is a great country.

Who's buying our government

A list of the biggest donors from 89 to 08 and which party they're giving money to. Needless to say there's A LOT OF BLUE at the top of the list. Click here if you want a front row seat to the sadness parade.

Roz on the Streets

Roz went to the Allan Grayson town hall.

Why MSNBC is a Joke

Notice they only show a close up of the assault rifle. In fact they loop the same few seconds of video over and over. You never see the man's face or even the back of his head. But that's all the network needs in order to go off on a rant about race and paint all protesters as potential assassins. But here's the thing...THE GUY HOLDING THE GUN IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN!

On a side note that guy pontificating the inevitable attempt on the president's life is a fashion reporter. Way to go MSNBC you guys are really setting the bar high

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad...and scary.

That sound is the bottom falling out

The Washington Post-ABC News survey found that less that half of Americans — 49 percent — say they believe the president will make the right decisions for the country. That's down from 60 percent at the 100-day mark of the Obama presidency.

The poll published Friday says Obama's overall approval is 57 percent, 12 points lower than it was at its peak in April. Fifty-three percent disapprove of the way he's handling the budget deficit and his approval on health care continues to deteriorate.

The national survey was conducted Aug. 13-17 and has a sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.

The Apology line starts behind the New York Times

It turns out Karl Rove had nothing to do with those federal judges getting fired or the prosecution of Alabama Gov. George Seigleman...Oops!
Since the Washington Post and New York Times won't be printing any kind of retraction any time soon you can read what Karl has to say about it here.

Town Hall or Dog and Pony Show?

People are going to remember this when the mid-term elections come and it's going to be uuuugly.

Because if you need to raise money in a hurry...

This is your guy.

Good old Joe was in town helping Allen Grayson and Suzanne Kosmos raise an insane amount of money with a 1000 dollar a plate dinner. Which may seem like a lot but I'd pay money for the chance to see this walking train wreck up close and personal

John Mica Healthcare Teleconference

U.S. Reps. John Mica is inviting constituents to submit their phone number to be called as the lawmakers answer constituents' health care questions.

Mica's teleconference has been scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 24. To register, constituents can visit his Web site at www.house.gov/mica/ or call any of his offices.

Rusty Roberts, Mica's chief of staff, said this format is similar to calling into a radio talk show. But at least one constituent is unhappy about his representative's decision not to do it in person.
